La Trobe University School of Nursing and Midwifery is seeking a Teaching and Research Professor or a Professor of Practice in Nursing to be part of an exciting academic and research partnership between the University and the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The School is consistently ranked as ‘well above world standard’ for research.
The role provides an opportunity to lead the development of the La Trobe clinical school model and pursue innovative partnerships with industry colleagues. The role will also facilitate an evidence based approach to health care with an emphasis on inter-professional practice.
Candidates will be registered or capable of registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Candidates may have a teaching and research background or a clinical practice background and either a PhD, a professional doctorate or equivalent clinical practice and service experience.
Strengths in one of the following areas would be particularly welcome: aged care and chronic disease management with an emphasis on the acute care setting or mental health.
This is a full time, continuing role based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
