The Department of Social Care and Social Work delivers professional education through undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and across pre-qualifying and CPD levels. The department has a strong reputation for the quality of its courses and is developing a potent research presence. Recently, the department has moved to brand new purpose-built facilities in the centre of Manchester, at the same time as recruiting additional staff, with a plan to continue building on its reputation.

We are a department of professionally recognised and research active staff working both within the institution and in practice to develop and mentor professionals.

Our recent NSS results demonstrate that we are one of the best performing and well respected providers of Social Care and Social Work education in the UK.

Role

The Department of Social Care and Social Work is looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Social Work who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and may have experience of working in higher education.

We are looking to expand our expertise in the area of social work with adults, and someone who is research active or who has the potential to be research active.
