In this exciting, role you will be responsible for providing excellent careers and employability information, advice and guidance to our students. Through this you will aim to increase the number of students moving to positive destinations after completing their time at College.
If you are looking for a role where you can build on your experience of working with young people, and feel like you are making a positive impact on their lives, this could be the role for you as you will offer students support and guidance to help them achieve their aspirations.
Working for 38 weeks over the year following the College academic calendar you will deliver tutorials and themed events, covering topics such as CV writing, mock interviews and progression routes, and will liaise with curriculum areas to ensure that these sessions cover the topics students need more information on. In addition you will provide a first class job shop service, linking with external organisations to advertise their paid and voluntary vacancies to our students.
We’d like you to have some experience of working with young people, either in an employed or voluntary capacity, English & Maths qualifications at level 2 or above, and an NVQ Level 3 or above in Advice & Guidance or be willing to work towards this.
