Implementation of SIAC filtering in Nektar++

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position the area of implementation of Smoothness-Increasing Accuracy-Conserving (SIAC) filtering in Nektarr++ (nektar.info). The successful applicant will have a developing international research record and be able to program in C++. We are seeking applications from individuals with research interests in discontinuous Galerkin methods, super convergence, and SIAC filtering. You must have a clear interest in translating mathematical ideas into practical code.  

You will be expected to have a PhD (or equivalent qualification) or have recently submitted your thesis in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or appropriate subject and be able to fulfil essential elements of the person specification.

This part-time (0.7 FTE) post is available from 3 January 2017 for a fixed term period until 8 July 2017.

The University is a Bronze Athena Swan Award holder, currently working towards Silver.
