Applications are invited for the post of Academic Liaison Librarian, based in the Philip Robinson Library, to liaise with designated Academic Schools within the Faculty of Science, Agriculture and Engineering (SAgE) to acquire, develop and promote library resources and services to support the learning, teaching, research and engagement activities.
You will be educated to Honours degree with a postgraduate qualification in Librarianship/Information Science or related discipline. Membership of CILIP or other appropriate professional body and a teaching qualification in Teaching and Leaning in Higher Education or equivalent are highly desirable.
Substantial experience of working in libraries in academic and similar environments is essential together with experience of subject support and delivery of information literacy and research skills teaching. Experience of supporting researchers and research students in a library environment is essential as is a good knowledge of scholarly communications.
You will utilise your excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise between library teams, Faculty contacts and other professional services. You should also be able to demonstrate leadership and staff management skills, being expected to lead and manage a variety of projects.
