Project title: Attitude formation via exploration in novel environments

Primary supervisor:  Dr C Jones

Project description: Little experimental research has investigated how attitudes are formed via direct personal experience within risky environments. This project would look to adapt the Treasure Island paradigm (see http://sgo.sagepub.com/content/4/3/2158244014551927) in order to investigate how manipulations of perceived environmental predictability influence attitude learning.
This project would come under the Environment & Behaviour Research Group (EBRG)

Start date: 1 October 2017

Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a first class or high upper second-class undergraduate honours degree and a distinction or high merit at Masters level in psychology or a related discipline.
