Project title: Positive Ageing: Crafting one’s job to one’s strengths

Primary supervisor: Prof R Nicolson

Project description: People’s strengths change as the age, with experience, wisdom and awareness of pitfalls tending to increase, and ability to thrive under conditions of pressure decreasing. Positive ageing is intended to help the older worker to establish their strengths and to work to them. It is also intended to create a positive working environment for older workers, such that their strengths are recognized and used.

Start date: 1 October 2017

Requirements:  Applicants must have a minimum of a first class or high upper second-class undergraduate honours degree and a distinction or high merit at Masters level in psychology or a related discipline.
