About the role:
The Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including doctoral level studies. Our provisions include Nursing, Social Work, Social Policy and Education. Our dynamic approach ensures that our students receive a high quality, research-informed, educational experience. We have internationally excellent research in social work and social policy, and have a number of world-leading nursing and healthcare researchers in our Faculty.
We’re looking for an inspirational individual with excellent technical skills who has a vision for excellence in the use of educational technology. The post-holder will have a flair and passion for the innovative use of technologies, to enhance our teaching and learning environment, in order to support all staff and students in the Faculty.
The Faculty is currently invigorating its use of its on-line learning management systems as well as continuing to grow the use of mobile technologies to enhance learning. We’ll be embedding practice to support the development of staff and student digital literacy as part of our employability strategy. We have an exciting vision of delivering holistic technological approaches to enhance the student teaching, learning and assessment experience.
The Faculty’s vision is to deliver excellence through the use of personalised and responsive technologies, evidenced by research and supported by a class-leading infrastructure. The post-holder will be expected to engage in research and contribute to the pedagogical activities around, assessment & feedback, education and mobile learning.
With a degree and evidence of a strong digital background, you’ll have experience of using technology-based activities to support and enhance learning. You’ll be self-motivated, entrepreneurial in approach, with strong interpersonal skills and be able to prioritise a varied workload to meet defined objectives.
