WMG is looking for a new project manager to join our team. If you have the drive and perseverance to manage projects that are driving real world innovations such as, electric vehicles, driverless cars, next generation materials, digital healthcare and high value manufacturing - this may be the role for you.
WMG is a department within the University of Warwick that works directly with industry, to transfer excellence in research into high value products, services and processes. We help our partners become innovative sustainable businesses and create high value jobs. From large multinational organizations to agile SME’s.
Project managers play a critical role at WMG. All our projects include industrial partners and are funded from a range of sources including Innovate UK, H2020, APC, EPSRC, direct industrial funding and the HVM Catapult. Project managers enable the building of sustainable teams, resolve project challenges and blockages, manage financial progress, and oversee risks and track tasks and deliverables to completion. Given the highly technical nature of the environment, project manager’s work alongside technical experts such as researchers and principal engineers. Together our multi-disciplinary teams help our industrial partners deliver sustainable innovation.
Project managers work across and within a range of research groups. Initially this role will be responsible for projects within the Intelligent Vehicles research group.
The salary package on offer includes access to a generous pension scheme, 34 days annual leave plus statutory holidays and additional benefits.
Please note: this is a full-time fixed term contract. The end date for this fixed term contract is 31 March 2020.
