Student and Education Services Assistant (Student Administration)

This full time post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until the end of July 2017 and is based in the University of Exeter Business School.

The Education and Student Experience (ESE) Directorate is one of the largest of the Professional Services Teams and is responsible for delivering world-class educational services to Colleges whilst ensuring the best possible experience for our students and academics.

This post plays a critical role in supporting student administration activity in The Business School. The Student and Education Services Assistant (Student Administration) will be expected to provide high quality administration and to work effectively within a wider administrative team to deliver a “seamless service” to students, staff and external contacts.

The successful applicant will have a good standard of education including good passes at A-levels or equivalent, as well as good experience in relevant administrative tasks and experience of working in a team to deliver to multiple objectives. They will have excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complex enquiries and deal with student issues tactfully and sensitively. Recent and competent use of MS office (especially, Excel and Word), complex databases and web based programmes is essential as well as the ability to work effectively with different categories and levels of staff and to empathise with students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
