Postdoctoral Research Associates in Theoretical Particle Physics

Applications are invited for up to five Postdoctoral Research Associates in Theoretical Particle Physics at the University of Edinburgh, to work in the Higgs Centre for Theoretical Physics.

Candidates are expected to have, or to be working towards a PhD in theoretical particle physics and proven expertise and technical abilities required to undertake world class research. For these particular posts we seek theorists who will support our current research in collider physics, gauge theory amplitudes, PDFs, final state MCs, lattice QCD, flavour physics, or indeed any aspect of work related to the standard model of particle physics or its possible extensions. Strong candidates working in any of these areas are encouraged to apply, since we expect to make a broad range of appointments. One of the positions will be funded by the ERC project "QCD for the future of particle physics (QCDforfuture)". All positions will initially be for two years, with possible extension to three.

Salary will be at UE07 in the range £32,004 - £38,183, depending on experience.
