We are looking to hire an exciting and forward-thinking Employer Engagement Officer within our Employability and Careers Centre.
This role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Employability and Careers Centre’s strategic aim of maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the University amongst employers, and to ensure the delivery of high quality services to students, employers and academic and administrative colleagues.
The role focuses on facilitating contact between students and employers in a range of ways, and marketing the activities of the Employability and Careers Centre to ensure maximum student participation in a wide range of employer engagement activities and employer-related events, e.g. the Summer and Autumn Careers Fairs and the wide range of events held by the Employability and Careers Centre to offer students insights into the world of work and enhance their employability skills.
The ultimate aim for the successful candidate is to increase the employability of Surrey Graduates and be an integral part of a team responsible for:
- Employer engagement – to support active relationship management to promote the University and its students to employers.
- Employer-related events – to organise a wide range of employer-related events which offer students insights into the world of work and enhance their employability skills.
- Work experience for students – to promote the University to employers to maintain and extend the range of graduate vacancies, Professional Training placements, internships, and opportunities for voluntary work.
- Employer communications – to support the Centre’s focus on profiling the role that employers play in contributing to student learning and the employability of Surrey students.
