The New Academics Programme (NAP) provides a good grounding in practical issues associated with the broad range of academic practice including teaching, research, social responsibility, internationalisation and administration. It also provides an opportunity for new academics to meet and share practice across Schools. The focus on the breadth of academic practice is one taken by a small but increasing number of research-intensive universities.
Academic Services in the Faculty of Science & Engineering is looking to appoint an Academic Lead for the New Academics Programme (NAP) to develop and provide leadership for the NAP.
You will provide academic lead and rigor to the NAP and be responsible for developing and ensuring synergy between the Teaching for Researchers programme and NAP. It is anticipated that you will also develop a suitable programme for established academics. You should demonstrate a passion and understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning to support high quality student learning.
