You will support environmental humanities research within the Department of History, focusing on the development of specific research areas within the broad field of environmental history, climate history and medical humanities. Under the direction of Professor Georgina Endfield, who will be joining the Department in January 2017 (and with close co-operation with other colleagues in the Department), your main tasks will be to develop new and existing research in the environmental humanities and to develop and support new funding applications. You should have a PhD in history, environmental history or historical geography and will be expected to support some aspects of teaching, for example in historical methods and approaches, and lead a small number of seminars. The post is available to start in January 2017 for 12 months.
