Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry (SMD) is a faculty of Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), one of the three largest colleges of the University of London, and a member of the prestigious Russell Group. The School is ranked 2nd in the UK for Medicine (Guardian University Guide 2017).

The School now offers two undergraduate programmes in Malta and Gozo for 2017 entry: a one-year Certificate in Clinical Foundation Studies (CCFS) and a five-year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) in Medicine.

This post sits within QMUL, Malta Ltd a wholly owned subsidiary of QMUL and is based at the school on the island of Gozo in Malta. Further information can be found at www.smd.qmul.ac.uk.

QMUL, Malta Ltd is seeking to appoint an experienced Manager who can bring his or her extensive organisational and leadership skills to be a key member of a team to establish the School and implement the MBBS and CCFS programmes in Malta. This role is of significant importance and will be instrumental in ensuring the new programmes being delivered in Malta meet the high quality standards that already exist in London.

Applications are invited for an experienced individual, who can become a key part of the senior management team for professional staff. This is a diverse and demanding role that requires significant operational experience and strategic awareness, and excellent time and project management skills.

The successful applicant must be educated to degree level, with experience of NHS or Maltese healthcare or Higher Education in a similar role In the UK or Malta.

This is a full-time permanent post, based in Malta. Starting salary will be in the range £51,432 to £57,418 per annum. Benefits include 30 days annual leave per annum. QMUL internal applications are welcomed and a two year secondment package is in available.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK (UK: Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. The successful candidate will require a DBS / Police check.
