Kyung Hee University Global Collaborative Summer Program offers teaching positions to talented young scholars. 

1. Overview

Kyung Hee University
A private, coeducational university founded in 1949, Kyung Hee University is part of a comprehensive educational system encompassing all grades from kindergarten to graduate school. The university is made up of three campuses: Seoul, Global Campus, and Gwangnung Campus.

The Seoul and Global Campuses are comprised of 24 colleges. Also, there are 36 research institutes in such diverse areas. In addition, Kyung Hee is proud of having other world renowned programs, such as Graduate Institute of Peace Studies, housed in Gwangnung Campus. 

Global Collaborative Summer Program
Under the theme Humanity, Civilization, and Global Governance, GC Summer Program seeks to promote a better understanding of the East Asian region and the world, in tandem with the current quests for world peace and global common good. It also aims to provide a new paradigm of higher education for the emerging global agenda by consciously integrating education, research and global service.

3. Details of the fellowship

  • Teaching Stipend: depending on your position and course credit hours, the stipend will be provided accordingly.

Details of teaching hours 15 hrs - 1-week
Stipend (before tax) Assistant Professor/Lecturer: USD 2,300  Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer: USD 2,800  Full Professor: USD 3,300

Course Credit 2-credit
Details of teaching hours 30 hrs - 2-week
Stipend (before tax) Assistant Professor/Lecturer: USD 4,600  Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer: USD 5,600  Full Professor: USD 6,600

Course Credit 3-credit
Details of teaching hours 45 hrs - 3-week
Stipend (before tax) Assistant Professor/Lecturer: USD 7,000  Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer: USD 8,500  Full Professor: USD 10,000

※ Each session is 3 hrs/day and 5 day/week.
※ Airfare and accommodation are not provided.

  • Accompanying with a group of students: if you accompany with a group of students (minimum 5) who participate in GC summer program, additional stipend of USD500 will be provided. Upon your request, program brochure will be provided via email, and students must indicate you as a recommender in their online application.
  • TA: One TA who is fluent in both English and Korean will be provided.
  • Office: GC faculty office with personal computer will be provided. 

4. Benefits

There will be several occasions such as a faculty seminar, welcoming party and reception that you can personally meet them and build relationships during the program.
  • Explore Seoul and Korea: Kyung Hee University is located at Seoul and downtown is only 20~30min away from the campus. You can visit various cultural sites as well as experience Seoul, the city of past, present and future of Korea.
