We invite applications for Post Doctoral Research Associate positions to work in the recently awarded StatScale Programme. StatScale is an exciting new collaboration between researchers at Lancaster University and the University of Cambridge. The programme will tackle the important inference challenges arising from streaming data. This multi-million pound research initiative is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), the two participating institutions and a number of committed project partners.
The programme is led by Idris Eckley, Paul Fearnhead (Lancaster) and John Aston, Richard Samworth (Cambridge). Across both universities, StatScale is looking to hire four post-doctoral research associates – two to be based at Lancaster and two at Cambridge.
You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD in Statistics or a related discipline. You will be experienced in one of more of the following areas: anomaly detection; changepoint analysis; non-stationary time series analysis, high dimensional statistics, statistical-computational tradeoffs, signal processing, image analysis. Demonstrable ability to produce academic writing of the highest publishable quality is essential.
