Senior Admissions Officer (Undergraduate Admissions) - Maternity Cover

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £34,056 - £41,163 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.

We are looking for an experienced admissions officer to lead a team in the delivery of the undergraduate admissions process for departments within our Faculty of Engineering.

Duties will include: key aspects of undergraduate admissions administration, principally for applications received through UCAS; the management of a team of admissions staff; agreeing selection criteria with academic colleagues; assessing and making selection decisions on applications against agreed criteria; and preparing documentation to support applicants applying for a visa through the UK Border Agency points based immigration system.

The post is to undertake specific maternity cover the duration of which is dependent upon completion of the cover, return of the post holder or cessation of the funding, whichever is the sooner. In the first instance the cover is estimated to be available from 16 January until 2nd January 2018.

We are looking for someone who has extensive experience of admissions in a higher education setting and of leading a team and managing staff. The appointee will have excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure. The nature of the post requires an individual with good interpersonal skills who is able to successfully work with staff and other stakeholders at all levels.
