Research Approvals Advisor

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the unique Research Support Unit (RSU) as a Research Approvals Advisor. Research & Development is a busy, dynamic environment with a demanding workload and a constantly changing remit. We are seeking 3 people (2 full-time, 1 part-time) to build a totally refreshed research support team. You should be a motivated, enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a good work ethic.

The Joint Research Management Office (JRMO) at Barts Health NHS Trust and Queen Mary, University of London provides a comprehensive research administration service, covering all aspects of research administration and governance. The RSU is uniquely placed to assist researchers with applications to various regulatory bodies, providing advice on sponsorship, ethics, MHRA approvals and R&D permissions.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of academic and NHS research. You will be part of a team advising on research applications in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

You must have a higher education qualification, as well as excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills and a strong team-work ethic. This role demands the holder to work on their own initiative and have the ability to manage several projects at once.
