The Global Urbanism research group in the School of Environment, Education and Development is seeking an enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to assist colleagues in the Global Development Institute and Planning and Environmental Management, along with partners in the global South, in an ambitious new research initiative.

You are expected to hold a PhD, or equivalent experience, in Development Studies, Urban Development, Urban Planning or appropriate social science discipline. A strong familiarity with analytical frameworks linked to urban development and informality in towns and cities of the global South is also required. 

It is expected that interviews will take place as soon as possible after the closing date.
