Data Collection Assistant (Fixed Term to 31 January 2019)

The post holder will collect data in a laboratory research setting with children ages 3 months to 5 years and their parents. The post holder will help collect data with children and families, will code behavioural data from video recordings, will help with data processing and data entry, and will provide necessary research support for the experimental work of academics, postgraduate research students, and research associates. The post holder will be skilled in the use of software used in Psychology.

You must have an undergraduate degree in a psychological, health related, human relations, or public service field or equivalent experience. In addition candidates should have research experience with children in a laboratory setting or related research experience, and be able to satisfy all the essential criteria detailed in the person specification for the post. The post holder must be willing to travel to India several times per year for data collection pending a successful application for the appropriate visas.

This post is available from 1 February 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter on a fixed-term basis until 31 January 2019. There are likely to be opportunities for reappointment.

The post is subject to an enhanced criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
