Research Assistant in Antimicrobial Resistance AMR EPSRC Bridging the Gaps

Part-time - 22.2 hours per week

Fixed-term until 31 August 2017

A proactive, organised Research Assistant is required to join an EPSRC funded project focusing on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). The project is building interdisciplinary research partnerships focusing on specific AMR challenges both across the University and reaching out to external partners at other universities, industry, healthcare providers, charities etc., across the UK and Internationally.

The post holder will play a key role in the LU AMR project management team. The RA will work across disciplinary boundaries at LU and beyond to develop the AMR research activities; organising and supporting AMR activities to facilitate interdisciplinary research. The post-holder will also help develop links with a view to better multidisciplinary working across multiple institutions, always with an eye towards consortia building targeting future funding opportunities.

The successful candidate will need exceptional communication skills and be able to demonstrate a flair for networking, building partnerships and working collaboratively. Furthermore, the post holder will also need first rate skills in project management and event organisation, but also in the day-to-day elements of effective project delivery.
