The Division of Biosciences is seeking applications for a Finance Officer post to provide financial and administrative support to members of the Division. The post holder will be responsible for overseeing the expense claim process and Division financial administration, including facilities recharging, suspense account, studentship finance, and intranet administration. The post-holder will be required to maintain a good working knowledge of all UCL financial policies and procedures and reporting packages. This is an open ended position available immediately. Please note the initial appointment will be made in the range between spine points 21 – 24 (follow 'apply' button below for link to UCL salary scales).
The post holder should be committed to continuing their professional development. They will need to have strong IT skills and be able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy and the ability to understand and interpret complex financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication and strong prioritisation skills are needed together with a good understating of financial processes and regulations. Experience of working in higher education and of science funding bodies terms and conditions would be beneficial.
