This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, committed and talented individual to assist in developing the next generation of management information (MI) systems for Warrington Collegiate. The role is based in the systems development team of the Information Services Department and uses a range of technologies.
It is expected that the successful applicant will have experience as a programmer, software engineer or analyst programmer, will be educated to degree level in a Computer Science or IT related subject and will be able to demonstrate a high level of T-SQL, SSRS and SSIS.
Candidates will need strong communication and analysis skills as they will be interacting with a wide range of people and determining requirements.
You will be required to work across the life-cycle of projects, from initial design to implementation and provide follow-up technical support. The role also involves running advanced ad hoc SQL queries to provide management information.
You should be a team player with the ability to work under minimum supervision on many projects at the same time across a number of different departments. Evidence of work you have previously completed in this area must be provided.
Knowledge of reporting functions within an FE environment would be advantageous as would experience of SQL server tuning, maintenance and troubleshooting.
