This is a great opportunity for an experienced Innovation Adviser to make an impact within the local and regional business support landscape. Northampton Enterprise Social Enterprise (NESE) is a Community Interest Company owned by the University of Northampton.
Innovate Northamptonshire is a University led project which is supported through the European Regional Development Fund. The project aims to build an innovation culture in Northamptonshire by giving SMEs the knowledge, skills and support they need to develop new products, services and processes. We will be focusing on key priority sectors for the county:
- High Performance Technology
- Agri-tech, including food and drink
- Creative and cultural
Working as part of a small highly capable and professional business support team, the successful candidate will be required to support clients to become more innovative in their operations by introducing new processes, products and/or services and to help them address their business needs and/or meet their organisational, developmental and commercial objectives.
The individual should possess a comprehensive and practical understanding of the needs and dynamics of pre-start, new and established SMEs and an in-depth understanding of all the key functions of establishing, managing and operating an enterprise, as well as demonstrable experience of delivery of innovation tools and techniques. Experience of delivering European funded projects (ERDF or ESF) would be a definite advantage.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, collaborative, organised and able to manage time effectively.
