As part of our VC2020 lectureship programme, we are looking for an outstanding new Lecturer in Information Systems.
Applicants will be expected to teach across a wide portfolio of information systems topics including Information Systems Management, Project Management, Systems Analysis & Design and Business Intelligence. Familiarity with PRINCE and/or ITIL would be advantage, as would an interest in information system ethics. You will also be expected to engage with the Information Society Doctoral Programme (ISDP), and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
You will have a PhD in an appropriate information systems area, and be publishing or seeking to publish in internationally excellent journals. On appointment you will develop a research portfolio, working towards submission in 2020. Information Systems research work is undertaken as part of the brief of the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility (CCSR), and applicants would be expected to join the CCSR and contribute to its work and objectives.
This position is an ideal next step if you are in the early stages of your career. The School is highly collegiate and appropriate training and support will be offered to aid your development. The role will attract a 50% time allocation for research and scholarly activity for the first year in post.
