As part of our VC2020 lectureship programme, we are looking for an outstanding new Lecturer in Cyber Security.
Applicants will be expected to teach across a wide portfolio of cyber security topics including communication security, host and network based security, cryptography, incident response, digital forensics, control system security and underpinning computer science subjects. Experience in working with industry is desirable.
You will have a PhD in an appropriate computer science area, and be publishing in internationally excellent journals. On appointment you will develop a research portfolio, working towards submission to the next REF. The role will be embedded in the Cyber Technology Institute’s Cyber Security Centre. The CTI is strongly supported by major industries such as Airbus Group, Deloitte, Rolls-Royce and BT as well as a recognised Airbus Group Centre of Excellence for SCADA Cyber Security Research.
This position is an ideal next step if you are in the early stages of your career. The School is highly collegiate and appropriate training and support will be offered to aid your development. The role will attract a 50% time allocation for research and scholarly activity for the first year in post.
