Due to the successful expansion of DMU’s undergraduate provision in Computer Games Programming, the opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer role to support the teaching in the School of Computer Science and Informatics.
Applicants should have a documented track record in Computer Science and a Professional experience in the games industry. The ideal candidate would also have a PhD in a relevant discipline and excellent programming skills.
Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the taught provision in the School within the Games Technologies and Intelligent System subject group at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, as well as contributing to the Continual Professional Development (CPD) provision in these areas. They will be able to deliver stimulating and engaging teaching sessions in a variety of contexts.
As part of the role they will also be expected to contribute to the development of Capture the Flag type scenarios, to aid the learning experience of our students.
There may also be the chance to become involved in some of the exciting research currently being undertaken by one or more research groups of the School.
