WMG’s Cyber Security Centre are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work on the funded project “Development of Mutual-Authentication and Security Platform for Secure autonomous Driving”. The project involves research and development of core technology for V2X communication security with research on lightweight security protocol/mechanism for VWmg l2X communication security.
The ideal candidate will possess a range of quantitative and/ or qualitative research skills and have evidence of quality research output or strong research potential. You should have the ability to initiate, develop and deliver high quality research and to publish in peer review journals. In addition, you should possess an honours degree, 2:1 or above in a relevant field and possess a PhD in a relevant discipline.
The salary package on offer includes access to a generous pension scheme, 34 days annual leave plus statutory holidays and additional benefits.
If you have not yet been awarded your PhD but are near submission or have recently submitted your PhD, any offers of employment will be made as Research Assistant on level 5 of the University grade structure (£28,453 pa). Upon successful award of your PhD and evidence of this fact, you will be promoted to Research Fellow on the first point of level 6 of the University grade structure (£29,301 pa).
