We are seeking a full-time postdoctoral Research Assistant in Biomedical Image Analysis to join Professor Jens Rittscher’s group at the Department of Engineering Science (Headington). You will work on the Wellcome Trust funded cluster for the development of dynamic 3D nanoscopy. This post is fixed-term and available for 3 years.
The goal of this programme is to understand fundamental cellular processes at the tens of nanometre scale. You will be developing state of the art image analysis algorithms that will allow the automatic identification and assessment of sub-cellular structures. This interdisciplinary, international collaboration with physicists and biologists based in Yale University, USA and the University of Cambridge, UK is led by Professor J Rothman (Yale) and Professor D St Johnston (Cambridge).
You will have a PhD (or be close to completion) in medical imaging or computer vision or another related area and possess a strong interest in biological imaging. You will have experience in computer vision and machine learning and programming experience in Python/C/C++ would be an advantage
