Lecturer in Diagnostic Radiography

City, University of London - School of Health Sciences

City, University of London is a global institution committed to academic excellence with a focus on business and the professions and an enviable central London location.

City is in the UK’s top twenty (Guardian University Guide) and the world’s top four per cent (Times Higher Education World University Rankings). City attracts around 19,500 students (35% postgraduate), is well above the sector average for graduate employability in most subjects, is in the top ten in the UK for starting salaries and is second in London for student satisfaction. City joined the University of London federation earlier this year.

In the last REF, City doubled the proportion of its total academic staff producing world-leading or internationally excellent research.

The Department of Radiography, part of the School of Health Sciences, is striving to sustain its success (100% satisfaction rating by students) by enhancing its links to clinical practice. To undertake this development, the School wishes to appoint a graduate on the HCPC Register as a Diagnostic Radiographer or equivalent. Academics or experienced practitioners are invited to apply. The post would be ideal for candidates who aspire to retain their clinical skills while building an academic portfolio.

The role will involve contributing to the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate radiography programmes, leading modules, supporting students in practice and working with placement provider organisations to ensure high quality learning experiences.

In addition to appointing to a lectureship the School will consider applications for secondments or job shares.

Support for achieving teaching qualifications and higher degrees will be available for the successful candidate.

City offers a competitive salary, a defined benefits pension scheme and other benefits including a comprehensive package of staff training and development.
