UCL is embarking on a 10-year Capital Programme, which will see capital investment over the period amounting to around £1.2bn, and including the development of a New University Quarter (UCL East) at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The post holder will be responsible for providing internal contracts advice and continuously reviewing UCL Facilities & Infrastructure (F&I) hard & soft services contracts, including maintenance, service, frameworks, and projects, to ensure that they reflect UCL Estates’ business, commercial, and service requirements. You would also develop and implement procedures for auditing and assisting the Performance Manager and University Service Managers (USMs) in reporting on supplier performance in meeting service specifications and any associated performance criteria; specifically, to review and improve commercial outcomes to ensure continued best value.
The successful candidate will possess a strong knowledge of procurement best practice, with strong practical experience of contract management (NEC3 expertise would be highly beneficial). You will have developed a proven track record in contracts & performance management, ideally across a similar diverse and complex multi-site portfolio.
