The University’s Department of Theatre, Film and Television was founded in 2006, and moved into a superb, £30m purpose-designed facility in 2010. We are now seeking to continue to enhance our research and teaching in discipline-specific fields while strengthening and expanding our interdisciplinary work across film and television, theatre and interactive media.
The Department is seeking to appoint a lecturer in Writing for Screen and Stage to support a growing area in the department and contribute to research and teaching in film, television and theatre. Our undergraduate degree programmes include a BSc in Film and Television Production, a BA in Theatre: Writing, Directing and Performance and a BSc in Interactive Media as well as masters programmes in Theatre, Digital Film and Television Production and in Post Production. There is also a thriving community of research students.
You should have a PhD in a relevant subject or equivalent professional experience, have experience of teaching writing for film, television and/or theatre at HE level, as well as a strong record as a researcher and/or writer.
