The John David Stout Research Centre for New Zealand Studies (SRC) is the longest running and premier centre for interdisciplinary research on the history, society and culture of NZ.
The role of the Director is to provide strategic leadership for the SRC and to make a significant contribution to its reputation as a leading centre for research on the society, history and culture of NZ. The Director orchestrates the SRC’s annual programme of research seminars, lectures and conferences and effectively manages its staff and resources. The Director is also responsible for ensuring that the SRC is actively engaged in the Faculty and the University and with relevant stakeholders in the broader community.
The appointment of the Director will be on a 0.5 FTE, 3 year fixed term basis with a permanent appointment as Professor or Associate Professor in a relevant discipline at the University (at 0.5 FTE but moving to full-time at the completion of their term as Director).
