We are looking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Division of Psychology on a permanent full-time basis. The Division is based in the School of Applied Social Sciences in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and is home to 30 academic staff. We offer a number of undergraduate psychology programmes which are accredited by the British Psychological Society as conferring eligibity for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership, as well as an accredited MSc in Health Psychology and additional postgraduate provision in the area of psychological wellbeing.

We are looking for applicants with expertise in counselling psychology and qualitative research methods.  We would also welcome applications from other areas in psychology that complement the current research interests of staff.  The postholder will be expected to be research active and to develop their research leading to high quality research publications appropriate for a psychology REF submission.  The postholder will contribute to the teaching of students on undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes.  Teaching duties will include preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars, supervision of final year projects/MSc dissertations, contributing to the personal tutoring scheme, and setting and marking of assessments.  The postholder will be required to contribute to the teaching of research methods.
