The post concerns simulation and theoretical studies of modified gravity effects in weak gravitational lensing and galaxy formation, and is related to preparations for realistic constraints on modified gravity models using future surveys such as Euclid.
The successful candidate will develop simulation codes such as modified Arepo and Gadget to run these simulations, and analyse the data. This will include studying the possible degeneracy between baryonic physics and small scale modification of gravity, and how this can impact on the potential constraints on the latter from future galaxy surveys. They are also encouraged to work on other topics in modified gravity and in cosmology in general.
