Summary: The Student Services Information Desk (SSiD) is an award winning information service that communicates thousands of general messages to students and answers the majority of their enquiries. The service covers the whole student journey from initial enquiry through to final award – and beyond graduation.
There are 2 posts based in the Student Enquiries Team in SSiD which offers a ‘One Stop Shop’ service to 26,000 current students and their supporters. It is a vital and extremely successful service, handling over 300,000 enquiries over a typical year and achieving extremely high levels of customer satisfaction.
You will provide a friendly, professional, efficient and knowledgeable information service to all our enquirers. Demonstrating a genuine commitment to excellent customer service and collaborative team working applicants will be expected to have proficient skills in using information systems such including databases and be able to communicate effectively with students and staff on all levels.
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Dealing with a wide range of enquiries in a busy front line environment face to face, by email and on the telephone.
- Providing a registry service on behalf of the University to confirm student status and qualifications.
- Record a wide enquiries and requests on various information systems ensuring accuracy and completeness.
