About the role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Technology Enhanced Learning to join our growing organisation. Within this post, you will play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of Library & Learning Resources within GSM London. This position will develop and manage a team of Learning Technology professionals with the aim of both enhancing existing courses through use of learning technologies and developing new blended content and products with our academic staff, working closely with faculty and educational development teams to manage the development of technical skills and knowledge needed to support their technology-related learning and teaching activities. The post will be responsible for development and maintenance of learning technology systems, processes and policies; management of service development and change; and coordination of operational planning and implementation, and delivery of relevant projects.
To be successful, you will need to be degree qualified with a professional qualification in Blended Learning/Instructional Design or a related discipline or possess equivalent experience, and demonstrate experience within a similar senior role in the HE sector. You will have a strong knowledge of pedagogy, superior customer service skills, initiative and the ability to be planned and organised in a busy and changing environment. You will bring a creative approach to problem solving and be an excellent communicator with experience of working collaboratively and ability to build and maintain effective networks. Experience of teaching and/or supporting academic staff is critical to this role, as is the ability to work independently.
