Careers Consultant

University of Reading - Student & Applicant Services

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Careers Consultant to join our team here at Reading. You will take responsibility for delivering career learning and advice and guidance to your own caseload of academic schools. You’ll support module convenors, provide VLE content, and negotiate and deliver impactful interventions having analysed student need. You’ll be the primary point of contact for the relevant Heads of Schools and senior staff on employability, and take responsibility for finding ways to increase staff engagement and joined-up working.

In addition, you’ll play a full and collaborative role in the work of the Careers Centre, delivering 1:1 guidance, workshops and our wider employability activities.

You will support the Director and Career Consultancy Manager in designing and delivering employability strategies for use across the University, in particularly supporting work which enhances our new set of graduate attributes. Your collaborative skills will allow you to share expertise and advice with colleagues as we continue to develop the careers and employability education our students receive.

Your role will contribute to providing a transformative student experience that develops and enhances the qualities of the Reading graduate.
