The main role in this post is to carry out duties associated with a number of work packages including laboratory and field work associated with the INTERREG Ireland-Wales project ‘BLUEFISH’ within the Department of Biosciences (College of Science). In particular, the person will carry out studies on disease connectivity of a number of key diseases of shellfish (mainly crabs and lobsters) within the Irish and Celtic Seas. In addition, the person will examine disease profiles in invasive species. Finally, the person will liaise with operation partners both in Ireland and Wales to ensure successful completion of targets set within the BLUEFISH operation.
