Web and Marketing Support Officer

As part of our investment programme and growth in the School of Healthcare Sciences we are inviting applications for a Web and Marketing Support Officer. We are seeking an energetic candidate to join our team.

The School of Healthcare Sciences mission is to mobilise its expertise and experience to generate new solutions to health challenges. We do this by leading health care research, scholarship, teaching and learning that is of the highest possible standard, quality and value to service users, practitioners and stakeholders. We aim to be an international example of best practice in partnership-working with students, professionals, health and social care services, and policy makers. We pay attention to demonstrating the links between our research and teaching activities, and in providing our students with excellent learning experiences that equip them with the ability to succeed in their professional careers. We have a thriving research environment, and achieved an excellent outcome in the REF, placed in the top 20 of 94 Universities entered in Unit of Assessment 3. We were ranked 3rd in the UK for nursing and midwifery in the 2016 Complete University Guide.

The post holder's duties will include:

  • Providing creative and technical support in the design, development and delivery of e-learning, web and communication materials in accordance with the strategic objectives of the School of Healthcare Sciences.
  • Supporting the School in providing (and developing as required) excellent modes of communication including digital media, web, print, news and other promotional events.
  • Supporting the School in creating e-learning, web and digital communication materials
  • Assisting in the marketing campaigns and provide on-going promotion of the School programmes across all markets.

Candidates should be educated at least to GCSE level, NVQ level III (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or possess equivalent experience with a good knowledge of design software (for print and digital) , and must have  good communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is essential for this post.
