The Post

Stirling Management School offers a creative and inspirational environment for all staff. We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the area of Banking and Finance.

We are looking for academics with an international research profile and a passion for, and experience of, innovative teaching in any area of Banking and Finance, including monetary economics. The post is offered at Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level, dependent on the candidate appointed.

The post offers exciting and motivating prospects for the right candidate as the School operates a transparent workload model that recognises all teaching and administrative activities, and protects 40% research time. There is requirement for supervision of dissertations and projects across the year.

Staff are strongly encouraged and supported to attend conferences, and to network internationally.

Description of Duties

The main duties associated with this post are as follows:

  • Carry out research consistent with publication in high-quality internationally recognised journals.
  • Develop research both individually and in collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the Division and School.
  • Apply for external research funding and engage actively in national and international networks to enhance an international profile.
  • Provide innovative teaching and module leadership in the area of Banking and Finance across a range of postgraduate and undergraduate programmes.
  • Contribute to the general leadership of the delivery and management of relevant undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Contribute to the overall successful operation and growth of the Division and School.
