The University is embarking on a new ambitious strategic plan, known as the Five and Fifty strategic plan, for the next five years, with a strategic vision that will take us to our fiftieth anniversary in 2034. The plan is focused on delivering a university that is sustainable and innovative with a strong international reputation.

In line with the new strategic vision, the School of Applied Social & Policy Sciences will come into being on 1 August this year. The University now wishes to appoint to a Senior Lecturer/Professor in the School on a permanent basis, who will carry out the leadership role of Head of School, for the next four years. The Head of School will be responsible for the academic leadership and development of the School in line with the new strategic vision.

Appointment to the permanent post will be considered at either Senior Lecturer Level or Professorial level.
