Undergraduate Level Strategic Management Teacher

Chengdu University of Technology

A well-established Sino-British University Programme in Chengdu, China (12 years of operation), is seeking experienced Business professionals or educators to deliver modules for UK undergraduate programmes at all levels. The collaborative programmes have an existing faculty of around 40 academic staff, a reputation for stringent quality management and good levels of student achievement. Many students have gone on to complete post-graduate degrees at a number of high ranking institutions in the UK and elsewhere.

Modules delivered in Chengdu cover core undergraduate business subjects and we are particularly looking for a member of staff to deliver Strategic Management modules, although candidates with strengths in other business management areas are also encouraged to apply. Experience of the UK higher education system is a definite plus. Those who apply with experience of living or studying in China will be looked upon favourably, as well as those having a well-developed sense of adventure and strong team work skills.

Candidates are expected to have a minimum of an undergraduate degree. Relevant post-graduate qualifications are desirable. Experience of professional practice, scholarship and a reflective approach to teaching would be looked upon favourably.

Chengdu is a thriving city in south-west China that currently presents great opportunities for living and working, as well as outstanding potential for research projects. Within the Programme, we have a dedicated staff development scheme with the chance to take a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (International) ensuring the quality of courses delivered are of an equivalent standard to what is delivered in the UK.

This position is a contracted position for one academic year, starting in September 2017 and finishing in the summer of 2018. We pride ourselves on a low staff turnover and seek to recruit staff who will consider staying longer term. On campus accommodation is offered as part of the remuneration package along with airline tickets for travel to and from China.

Interested candidates should in the first instance contact careers@zy.cdut.edu.cn to request further details and an application form.
