Project Assistant – Polymer Materials Characterisation

Salary: £9.05 per hour (+ £1.09 per hour holiday pay)

Fixed Term Contract: 4 weeks full time (36.5hpw) with the possibility of a further 4 weeks work through the partner SME. Applicants should be available for the full 8 Week period.

Proposed start: July 2017

Working with supervision from WMG’s SME Group, you will assist Silson in testing and characterisation of polymer materials.

Silson Ltd specialises in supplying ultra-thin membranes and related lithographic products to Corporations, Universities and Government Research Laboratories throughout the world.

You will be employed for up to 8 weeks by WMG, University of Warwick, and based between both WMG (approx. 20%) and the host company Southam, Warwickshire (approx. 80%).

You will be educated to or working towards degree level in chemistry, material science or engineering field (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of polymer chemistry.

This post is not eligible for visa sponsorship, so applicants must have existing eligibility to work in the UK for the duration of the contract.
