Lecturer or Senior Lecturer - Department of Management

Our department hosts staff actively researching in the range of management sub-disciplines, including sustainable business, human resource management, indigenous management, international management, leadership, and strategy. 

Depending on skills and experience, this will be a position in either:

  • Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship and Strategy; or
  • Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Operations Management. 

Strong preference for this position lies with applicants with a second research and teaching expertise in Business and Society. 

Skills and Experience

  • A PhD in a relevant field
  • Evidence of teaching success at the tertiary level
  • Ability to publish high quality research in high ranked academic journals

Dunedin, New Zealand, is a pleasantly liveable small city, featuring affordable living, great schools, a relaxed, outdoorsy lifestyle exemplified by the Otago Peninsula, which beautifies the city and earns it the title of the wildlife capital of New Zealand. The compact city centre bursts with the cultural and entertainment energy typical of university-dominated cities. It sustains great live theatre and music and offers a selection of restaurants and cafes. Nearby lies the Central Otago region, a renowned holiday spot for outdoor recreation easily accessible from Dunedin.

This is a full-time, permanent, confirmation-path position. Level of appointment is commensurate with skills and experience. The preferred starting date for the successful applicant is January 2018.
