Worldwide applications are invited for post-doctoral research fellowships in College of Physics and Energy, Shenzhen University, China. The positions are open until filled.

Applicant requirements:

  1. PhD graduates or PhDs-to-be in half a year. Applicants who study or work in the World Top 200 universities are warmly welcome and will have extra bonus.
  2. Applicants who have published high level scientific papers are preferred.
  3. With research background in the fields of physics, materials science, or micro-electronics.

Terms and Conditions of Employment:

  1. Salaries and allowances: no less than RMB 280K/year (1 Pound= 8.7 RMB)
  2. The research fellowships are initially for 2 years, renewable following an academic performance review.
  3. General welfare for post-doctoral researchers stipulated by the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of China.
  4. Special welfare and allowance provided by Shenzhen University, including housing subsidies or temporary accommodation.
  5. Start-up research grants up to RMB 80K funded by College of Physics and Energy.
  6. Start-up research grants from 3 million RMB to 5 million RMB funded by Shenzhen Metropolitan Government, if the researchers will continue to work at Shenzhen University after the completion of the postdoctoral research fellowship.
  7. Financial support of overseas and domestic travels for conferences and research collaborations.
  8. Priority to get a faculty position at Shenzhen University after a successful postdoctoral research period.
