A Grade-5 Research Assistant position is available in the group of Professor Philip Taylor. Research conducted by the team examines the molecular mechanisms that control macrophage/microglial activation in the context of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The successful applicant will join a vibrant and well-funded research environment and support two post-doctoral fellows and work with PhD students. Activities within the laboratory combine investigative model systems with state-of-the-art ‘omic technologies and functional assays. The aim is to develop new understandings of macrophage/microglial activation to reveal novel therapeutic opportunities in AD.

This post is full time (35 hours per week), fixed term until the 31st August 2022 and is available immediately.
