Lecturer in Interpreting and Translation Studies

Cardiff School of Modern Languages has an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching, and we give students the opportunity to pursue their interest in languages in an exciting, interdisciplinary environment.  We educate around 800 students annually on our full time undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and a further 2500-3000 through our university wide Languages for All Programme and our contribution to the university’s part-time and evening language courses designed for personal and professional development.

Applications are invited for a full time Lecturer position in Interpreting and Translation Studies within the Cardiff School of Modern Languages. You will pursue excellence in research, teaching and engagement, and inspire others to do the same. You will deliver high-quality, research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level and lead on the development of Interpreting Studies within the School's programmes.  You will contribute to the School's record of research excellence by producing high-quality peer reviewed research publications, successful research funding applications, and work with impact beyond the higher education sector.

This position is full time (35 hours per week) and is open-ended.
