Salary: Research Teaching and Enterprise Grade 6, £34,956 to £38,183 per annum, or Research Teaching and Enterprise Grade 7, £39,324 to £46,924 per annum. Subject to annual pay award.

The School of Science at Loughborough University is seeking to appoint an active, committed academic in Physical Chemistry. The appointee will become a member of the Department of Chemistry.  The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively in a team atmosphere, will have an intellectually challenging research agenda in any area of many broad facets of physical chemistry (including its interface with biological chemistry) and a commitment to innovative research-led teaching.

The Department of Chemistry has a vibrant community of researchers who are committed in supporting each other to deliver outstanding research.  Chemistry at Loughborough is highly active in research and enterprise, with academic staff and research students engaged in many high profile, cutting edge research projects that continue to have a real-world impact in such vital areas as energy, markers and detection, functional molecules, catalysis etc.

Candidates should have an emerging track record of outstanding research and the potential to attract external funding. They will initiate and participate in collaborative activity with School members and across the University.
